TRUCK TECH TECH TIP
-Proper tire inflation not only maintains good fuel economy it also extends tire life. If your tires are original size, weight, and speed rating your drivers door jam should have a decal with the proper recommended tire size and inflation information. Have a good quality tire gauge in your glove compartment and check your tire pressure often say, at least once a month. The best time to check inflation is first thing in the morning before your tires have heated up by warm weather or long drives. Tire pressure is rated for a “cold” tire. As a tire warms up the internal pressure increases. Tire manufactures take this into account, the cold ratings allow for a safe increase of pressure in a warm or hot tire….Drive Safe!
